HONG KONG / ZUG, April 17th, 2024 — Off the back of the recent partnership announcements with the leading football club in the Philippines, United City FC, and the esport team and the Asian champion in the Free Fire Master League (FFML), Team Thorrad, from Indonesia, Blocksport has signed a strategic partnership with the HK’s leading SportsTech Platform AquaBloom International Sports Technology Group (ABSG). This partnership is designed to increase Blocksport’s footprint across Asia and bring its innovation and technology to the Asia market that’s already recognised the Swiss Sports Tech award winning business as some of the Blocksport key investors include the HK and Chinese companies such as Aveslair, FBG Capital and Spark Digital Capital.
Blocksport, a prominent SportsTech solutions provider based in Zug, Switzerland, is poised to enter the new market whose web3 solutions help sporting properties in football, basketball, rugby and hockey, to name a few, and esport teams to deep their fan engagement and improve existing revenues as well as create new ones through the power of its digital infrastructure and fan engagement platform. This partnership aims to bring innovative solutions to the sports industry in Hong Kong, mainland China, and Asia as a whole, leveraging the strengths of both organisations and their respective networks.
ABSG’s partnerships include some of the biggest sporting properties in the world such as LALIGA and NIKE, and at the recent Digital Entertainment Leadership Forum (DELF), a spotlight was cast on SportsTech, which has seen remarkable growth in recent years, and ABSG has played a pivotal role in driving that agenda and massively contributed to that success.

Other worthy initiatives were announced including the partnership with Wanda Sports , which plan to bring the China Cup International Football Championship to Hong Kong. This international tournament will allow start-ups and tech companies to showcase their SportsTech to a global audience. The partnership also aims to bring global sports-focused family offices and investment funds to Hong Kong to grow its SportsTech ecosystem together with government agencies.
The strategic partnership between ABSG and Blocksport is aimed to introduce Blocksport to the Greater China market and present its platform for the benefit of the sports industry as a whole.
