Blocksport is expanding its presence in Central Asia with the appointment of Shukhrat Ernazarov as its official ambassador in Uzbekistan.
Ernazarov brings more than 25 years of experience across business, football, communications, marketing and PR. He owns and directs the first English football academy in Uzbekistan, the Tashkent branch of Brooke House College Football Academy, built on UK coaching standards under technical director Micky Adams. He also serves as Advisor for Partnership at the Tashkent Football Association and is the Johan Cruyff Institute’s representative in the country, connecting Uzbek clubs and federations with the Institute’s sport management education network.
In 2024, Ernazarov held the role of Deputy Head of Communications, PR and Media for the FIFA Futsal World Cup hosted in Uzbekistan, one of the largest football events the country has staged. His career also spans diplomatic service, including postings at the Uzbek Embassy in London and work with the UNDP, giving him direct experience building institutional relationships that carry into his football and sport ventures today.
For Blocksport, the appointment opens a route into a market where football is a national priority and digital fan engagement is still largely untapped. Uzbekistan’s clubs, federations and academies are building audiences fast, but most still rely on social platforms and third-party channels for fan data rather than owning it directly. Ernazarov’s standing with the Tashkent Football Association, the country’s academy system and international football bodies positions Blocksport to bring its COLLECT → SEGMENT → ENGAGE → CONVERT platform to clubs and federations across the region.
“I have spent my career building bridges between Uzbek football and international standards, from the academy to the federation to global tournaments,” said Shukhrat Ernazarov. “Blocksport gives our clubs and federations a way to finally own their relationship with fans, rather than renting it from social platforms. I am proud to help bring this to Uzbekistan first.”
“Uzbekistan has one of the most engaged football populations in Asia, and almost none of that engagement is captured as first-party data today,” said Vladimir Liulka, CEO of Blocksport. “Shukhrat’s relationships across the federation, the academy system and international football give us a credible way into the market. This is our first dedicated ambassador role in Central Asia, and we expect it to open doors well beyond football.”
Blocksport now works with 50+ clubs, leagues and federations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, backed by Deutsche Telekom and Nokia. The Uzbekistan appointment marks its first dedicated ambassador role in Central Asia.
