Founded in 1951, Qarabaq FC has a rich history of success in Azerbaijani football. The club won the Premier League in 2014, their first league title in 21 years. Qarabaq FC has since secured the Premier League title eleven times and the Azerbaijan Cup eight times. The team made history by becoming the second Azerbaijani club to reach the group stage of a European competition during the 2014-15 UEFA Europa League season and the first to advance to the group stage of the UEFA Champions League in the 2017-18 season.
